In This War Of Mine you do not play as an elite soldier, rather a group of civilians trying to survive in a besieged city struggling with lack of food, medicine and constant danger from snipers and hostile scavengers. "I'm really excited to go home and download 11 bit studios' title on my iPad", Game Informer "This War of Mine isn’t exactly “fun,” but it’s definitely a game worth playing.", 9/10, 148apps Hostage is not escaping."If you've not already played this brilliant, heart-wrenching game, then mobile is as good a place as any to let it completely destroy you." -, 9/10, Pocket Gamer UK Short version: People get sad after I stole from thugs. Maybe after I killed the thugs, the hostage claimed the hotel as his own, so he viewed me as an intruder. Maybe I was suppose to clear the building and save the hostage in one day. I was wondering if I did something wrong. I am so confused! First, I stole from some thugs so they shouldn't be too sad.

I opened it, and he ran around the building, yelling "Bandits!" I chased after him and he went BACK into the place he was held hostage at. He went back into the room where he was locked in. On the third run, I went back, and the hostage is STILL THERE. I looted some stuff, and left the area.Īgain, my Boris (the others don't give a shit) was sad again, asking "how would they ever survive?" which makes NO SENSE BECAUSE NO ONE IS LIVING THERE. I thought he was traumatized so I let him run around, thinking he was going to escape. Instead, he got up and yelled, "Who are you?" and ran around the building. On the second day, when I killed the last two and freed the hostage, I expected him to be grateful. Boris was complaining about "how would they ever survive" and things like that. I was really confused cause I killed and stolen from a thug.and usually I don't get a moral penalty for that. This is when something confusing happened.Īfter I killed the thug (and stole some stuff), everyone seemed guilty about stealing.

On the second day, I killed the second and third one, and also freed the hostage. On the first day, I killed the first thug (the one next to the hostage). It took me two days to do this since I was unfamilar with the area. Instead, I focused on clearing the thugs. However, since I didn't have a lockpick, I wasn't able to save him for now. Next door, there was some thug that was yelling at a door (which I later found out had a hostage inside) after I cleared the room with Arica. I went into the Hotel and I read some notes that there was a body brutally mangled.

I'm playing Roman, Arcia, and Bruno (and Boris, who joined my group shortly after) right now.
